His first year in Nashville, Shannon Cain earned the nickname the Texas Rocket—the title fit him to a Texas “T”. Shannon’s performances displayed a rare intensity, a noticeable presence. After only a year in Nashville, Shannon was approached by indie label, Prime Cut Records, to serve as their flagship artist. With the release of his well-received debut, Like I Never Fell Down, Shannon was selected as RadioFree Texas Artist of the Month and headliner for Country Radio Seminar at Cadillac Ranch (Nashville, TN). He has been featured artist for Billy Block’s “Locals Only Live” on WKDF-Nashville, for “Music City Unsigned” with 96.7 JACK FM-Nashville, and for syndicated Americana radio and internet broadcast “The Miller Tells Her Tale.” Shannon’s television appearances include Nashville’s, “Writer in the Round with Don McNatt,” as well as the syndicated television show, “Nashville Unleashed.” Since his initial success, Shannon has emerged as a strong performing songwriter, garnering notoriety and frequent weekend rounds in storied songwriter venues such as the Bluebird Café, and selling out regular shows at the 250-seat Listening Room Café (Nashville).
